Introduction   Environment   Located at the foot of Pok Fu Lam Reservoir Road, Pokfulam Public Riding School is an oasis of peace surrounded by one of Hong Kong's most beautiful country parks. It is the busiest riding school due to its convenient location and family atmosphere. It is also the home for the Riding for the Disabled Association and Hong Kong Riding Club.         Professional Training   Trains students up to British Horse Society (BHS) Stage III Riding and Care   Riding Lessons   Available in English and Cantonese.   Riders are colour-coded to ensure that groups are of a similar riding standard   All lessons have to be group lessons of 5 - 6 riders per class   Due to the long waiting list, beginners are advised to join our introductory courses or take private lessons at Tuen Mun Public Riding School during non-peak hours. Once they can ride off the leading rein, it is easier to slot riders into a regular lesson   Experienced riders are offered the opportunity to take an assessment in order to fit into a suitable class   Riders are welcome to call in during office hours to discuss their riding requirements   Although every care is taken, riders are asked to sign an indemnity form before they start riding   Riding Gear   BHS approved safety helmets which are available for hire at the riding school   A pair of shoes or boots with a one-inch heel   A pair of jodhpurs or stretchy, comfortable trousers   A pair of gloves   Safety Tips   Riders with health problems are advised to seek medical advice before taking up horse riding.
